In MEGAsync's Syncs window, create a new folder sync and add the new MEGA folder on your computer and the new MEGA folder in your cloud. Move any files, already in your cloud, into the same folders as on your computer. In your cloud, create a new MEGA folder and move or add in the same sub-folders as on your computer. Start with two empty folders on your computer, then move what you need into them. Any files you want to upload/sync with MEGA, just drop them in your chosen MEGA folder and any of its sub-folders. This will ensure everything you download from your own account, doesn't get automatically re-uploaded. The second folder, and any sub-folders, is the one you set up to sync with your cloud. One will be your MEGAsync download folder, that you do not sync. This won't remove any files or folders, only stop them syncing.Ĭreate two separate folders on your computer. Go to MEGAsync Settings, Syncs, delete the folder sync and click apply. You create a loop, with MEGA syncing what you've just downloaded, including content from your own account. Syncing the download folder is not a good idea. In that state, the deleted files will not be re-downloaded, as the files no longer exist in the sync folder in your cloud.ĭeleted files will only be re-downloaded if MEGAsync wasn't tracking your changes at the time, or in your MEGA cloud you later moved a deleted item back into a sync folder, or if syncing to more than one computer you made changes to the second computer. They should have disappeared from their normal folder(s) and moved to the SyncDebris folder in your MEGA Rubbish Bin. Check your MEGA browser to confirm the same files have been removed from your account. When MEGAsync has finished syncing, make sure it's still running, then delete the required files, from the sync folder on your computer. Keep your MEGA browser open to the sync folder in question. Earlier versions of MEGAsync would always download what they thought were missing files, but the latest version is better at tracking changes If MEGAsync isn't running, when you remove files from a synced folder on your computer, when MEGAsync is restarted, it can consider the files to be missing, and so downloads what it thinks are missing files. Do you have MEGAsync set up on more than one computer? If yes, look at the other computer.
